Scottish Enterprise & Connect Scotland partnered with kanyo to help them deliver the Scottish Technology Showcase 08. The event gave technology companies the chance to highlight their products and services to representatives from local, national and international organisations looking to do business.
There are 3 principal elements to the Showcase:
- Technology Zone - exhibitors will demonstrate their technology and services to an audience of 500+ delegates all looking to do business.
- Opportunity Zone - Exhibitors will give 5-minute presentations outlining a specific business need with the objective of identifying individuals/organisations that can help meet this requirement. If you think you can help meet a need then you can follow up with exhibitors at their stand.
- Meeting Zone - pre-book a number of 20 minute meeting slots with exhibitors ahead of the Showcase, encouraging interaction on the day.
The Kanyo - 'manage events' web application provided an intuitive pre event management system for all Exhibitors and Delegates enabling them to register, search and preselect Individuals & Companies of interest and request short meeting slots on the day. The system enabled attendees to pre compile an online event diary and maximise time on the day by planning ahead and making connections even before the event began.
As well as the added value provided to event attendees Scottish Enterprise & Connect were better able to gauge event success not only by registration numbers but by reporting on actual connections made through the meeting management system.
